Tyrick Mitchell has now sent a message to Ebere Eze in response to the England midfielder’s post about England’s Euro 2024 defeat.

Sunday saw England come crashing out of the Euro 2024 in the final with Spain lifting the sought-after trophy after a tough month-long tournament.

Four Crystal Palace players were on the losing side in this game, with Marc Guehi starting, and Adam Wharton, Ebere Eze and Dean Henderson all watching on from the bench.

Oliver Glasner also saw his two Colombian players fall at the final hurdle in the Copa America which will be disappointing.

After England’s loss, Gareth Southgate has now left his position as England manager. Following this, Eze sent a message thanking the manager and also reacting to the defeat.

Sunday saw probably the most gutting moment of Eze, Guehi, Henderson and Wharton’s careers to date as Spain won the Euro 2024 final 2-1.

With Southgate departing on Tuesday, now Eze has finally shared some words on the situation.

“Painful not to have made the last step but forever grateful for the love and support throughout the journey. Our time is coming!

“Would also like to thank Gareth, not only for giving me the opportunity to play in my first major tournament but also for all you and your staff have done to get this England team to where we are today.

“We are closer than ever to achieving what we dream of and that is hugely down to what you have created. I wish you all the best for the future.”

After Eze’s message, Tyrick Mitchell responded with a heart emoji, showing his support for his Palace teammate.

When will Ebere Eze return to Crystal Palace?

Eze will now be off on his holidays where he will remain for three weeks, but when will he next feature for Palace?

If Eze takes the full three weeks, he will likely be available again on August 5th which would see him miss the entire USA Tour this summer – as it concludes on August 4th against West Ham.

Therefore, Eze could be set to feature against Nantes on August 11th at Selhurst Park in the final warm-up before the season commences.

After this, the Premier League season will begin on Sunday, August 18th away from home to Brentford.

This does all depend on transfer activity though, with interested parties expected to arrive for Eze.
