West Ham No.20 Jarrod Bowen has now shared why he hates playing against Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi.
The pair of England internationals sat down with Josh Denzel in the Lions’ Den at England’s training camp in Germany to share their thoughts on UEFA EURO 2024 so far.

What Jarrod Bowen said about Marc Guehi
The £18m defender shone on his first start for England at a major tournament during Sunday’s 1-0 win over Serbia.
When Denzel was eulogising over Guehi as a result of that display, Bowen added to the praise, saying: “I’ve played against him lots of times when I’ve been up front, and I don’t like playing against him.
“He’s not like a 6ft 5in centre half, you know, but he’s clever. He’s got a brain and he’s also strong and fast as well.”
It comes as no surprise to hear that Bowen hates playing against Guehi.
The West Ham forward has come up against the man from Abidjan on five occasions throughout his career, tasting victory on just one occasion.
Crystal Palace have won two and drawn the other two of these five meetings, with Bowen failing to score a single goal.
Crystal Palace No.6 sends message back to Selhurst Park
During their chat in the Lions’ Den, Denzel also showed Guehi a tweet from Crystal Palace after Sunday’s win over Serbia, which read: “We’ve seen it all before, but how good was Marc Guehi tonight by the way 😏😍.”
In response, the 23-year-old said: “Shoutout to Palace man, and shoutouts to the Palace fans, my guys.”
Clearly, Guehi is still feeling the love from those in SE25, even from all the way in Germany.
