Crystal Palace played against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday and during the game, Oliver Glasner was heard instructing his team to do one thing.
Oliver Glasner will be hoping that his side’s three-week break from games will have a huge effect on how his side performs against Nottingham Forest.
Crystal Palace only appointed Glasner a few weeks ago which hadn’t given the Austrian much time on the training ground to coach his players into the way he wants them to play.
But now this prolonged period gives him that exact chance and during the friendly game, he was heard barking instructions of one kind at his players.

Taking his Palace side on a warm weather training camp over the past week was done to maintain and improve the squad’s fitness levels.
He also got to catch a glimpse of players whom he had yet to seriously take a look at, such as Naouirou Ahamada who shone brightly against Bodo/Glimt.
Another reason was to continue implementing the Austrian’s footballing philosophy which is vastly different from what the players had under Roy Hodgson.
Now The Athletic have reported that during Thursday’s friendly, Glasner was hammering home how he wanted his side to play.
“Glasner frequently encouraged his players to push higher up the pitch and press high.”
This is something we hope to see from the team under Glasner, but realistically it’s something difficult to implement mid-season and next season will be a far more telling reflection of how he’ll do at Selhurst Park.
Glasner will want to see Crystal Palace beat Nottingham Forest
So far, Glasner’s time at Palace has been a mixed bag, with the opening game win over Burnley being the high, the loss to Spurs being the low and last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Luton being somewhere in between.
Now though, he’s had time with the players and should have had weeks to plan for Forest so he’ll be expecting a higher calibre of performance than he’s seen over the last two games.
A win for Palace would be huge for the survival hopes, practically ensuring they’re too far to be involved in a relegation fight as it’d be seven points clear of Forest, with a game in hand.
