Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Crystal Palace have offloaded a few of the players on bigger contracts this summer and this could help us buy transfers in the summer.
It has been confirmed that Jack Butland, Luka Milivojevic and James McArthur will all leave when their contracts expire in June.
James McArthur and Luka Milivojevic were both big players for Palace. 35 year-old McArthur was at the club for nine years, whilst Milivojevic was at the club for six years.
We are currently without a manager, whilst the future of Wilfried Zaha is currently unknown, so it is a big summer for the Eagles.
Palace could in for an exciting summer following new £9m cash injection
Wages of Premier League players are huge these days. This is the same for the trio of players who have already left Selhurst Park this summer.
McArthur is on a reported salary of £55,000 per week, this is £2,860,000million per year, Milivojevic is on a reported £80,000 per week, which is £4,160,000million per year and Butland is on a reported £40,000 per week, which is £2,080,000million per year. This is around £175,000-a-week saved in total, which is £9.1million-a-year.
For a Premier League club like Crystal Palace, who don’t always spend big, being able to save just over £9million is a huge bonus.
We could then use this saved money to focus on the next generation of stars coming in. Reports have linked Palace with Jack Clarke and also linked them with Matheus Franca. Clarke, like the reports states, is linked to other clubs.
Therefore Palace could use this new cash injection to tempt these players to South London and help them ignore interest from other clubs.
