Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Crystal Palace fans should now be concerned about a rumour involving Michael Olise and PSG.
The claim was made by the Daily Mail.
So, what is the rumour about Michael Olise? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Daily Mail believe we have slapped a £50m price tag on the France Under-21 international in an attempt to fend off PSG.
The French giants are looking to sign Olise as they attempt to remodel their frontline, after Lionel Messi departed the Parc des Princes – Kylian Mbappe and Neymar could also be leaving.
PSG are also waiting to see what Wilfried Zaha decides to do as they consider a free transfer swoop.
In our view, the size of that £50m valuation on Olise should worry Crystal Palace fans – it is simply far too low.
To give an example, Aaron Wan-Bissaka left for Manchester United back in June 2019 for £50m, a player who has nowhere near as much quality or potential as the London-born winger despite his obvious ability.
Furthermore, that was four years ago, so inflation must also be taken into account when evaluating the Crystal Palace No.7’s true value.
Crystal Palace must demand more than £50m for Olise as PSG circle
Only Leandro Trossard, Bukayo Saka and Kevin De Bruyne provided more assists than Olise’s tally of 11 in the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.
We have a genuinely special talent on our hands at Selhurst Park – it is hard to believe Steve Parish would only take £50m given the fact Olise has a contract until June 2026 and could easily become a £100m player in the modern market.
For example, Antony – a player who operates in the same position as Olise – joined Manchester United from Ajax in a deal worth £86m last summer, but only scored four goals and provided two assists in 25 Premier League appearances.
In that respect, we should be asking for at least £80m this summer – should Parish sell Olise for £50m, he risks angering an already frustrated fanbase even more.
