Crystal Palace are said to be interested in signing Daniel Munoz from Genk in the January transfer window, The right-back is said to be personally endorsing the move.
A quiet January transfer window paired with a downturn in form has left Crystal Palace fans far from happy in recent weeks.
This was pushed into the limelight as Roy Hodgson’s side travelled to face Arsenal in a return to Premier League action.
Despite lining up with a defensive-minded XI, the Eagles went on to concede five without reply. This saw banners be thrown up in the away end regarding the future of the club moving forward.
With only two wins since early November, it is clear to see that a shake-up may be needed at Selhurst Park. As it seems unlikely that Hodgson will move on this month, new signings have to be made to improve.
Now it appears that there is one player being discussed by the club who is also open to a move to South London.

Daniel Munoz wanted by Crystal Palace
It has been no secret that Palace have been after a right back for many years. Nathaniel Clyne was replaced by Joel Ward back in 2012. Then Aaron Wan-Bissaka displaced Ward before he was sold to Manchester United. He was sold and Clyne returned to give Ward competition.
Now it finally looks as if the Eagles are going to be bringing in a right-back option with Daniel Munoz linked this week.
In a report by Alan Nixon, he has suggested that the deal is wanted on the club and the player side this month.
On that, he said: “Daniel Munoz wants a move to Crystal Palace and will push Belgian side Genk to do a deal.
“Colombian right back Munoz is on Palace’s wish list, as revealed last week, and he has put a stop to talks with two Brazilian clubs after hearing they wanted him. Genk are holding out for a big fee and Palace have their own lower valuation. However, a compromise should be struck.”
According to WhoScored, the 27-year old has no significant weaknesses but has five strengths. These include characteristics like blocks, tackling and interceptions.
Although Palace fans may feel like an attack-minded full-back may be more exciting but his Fbref profile makes for superb viewing. He registers in the 99 percentile non-penalty xG, progressive passes and touches in the attacking penalty area.
There is a lot to be excited about regarding this potential signing. A new right back through the doors at Sulhurst Park can only be a good thing moving forward.
