One of Crystal Palace’s young stars, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is in the middle of a transfer tug-of-war among a whole host of different clubs this summer.

The 21-year-old has shown promising signs since making his breakthrough in senior football, first handed a chance on loan at Charlton in 2022/23.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi was then part of the first-team squad at Crystal Palace last season, but injury troubles and players ahead of him in the pecking order made for a tough campaign.

It has led to discussions surrounding Oliver Glasner’s plans for the winger, with a potential loan move to the Championship on the cards.

Plenty of clubs continue to be linked with Rak-Sakyi, with plenty of twists and turns taking place in the saga.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi transfer latest

Leeds United transfer bid

According to journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon, Leeds United have made a £15million offer to land Rak-Sakyi on a permanent deal.

The Whites had been linked with a potential loan this summer, following the sale of Crysencio Summerville to West Ham.

The report claims that Crystal Palace are set to turn down this deal, with Sheffield United leading the race to land the winger on loan, while Hull City are also in the picture.

Norwich City transfer twist

The situation surrounding Rak-Sakyi and Leeds appears to be impacting moves elsewhere in the transfer market.

Reporter Edmund Brack claims that Norwich City have joined the race with a late enquiry to land the 21-year-old this summer.

It comes after Canaries star Jonathan Rowe pulled out of the matchday squad for his side on Saturday – following transfer interest from Olympique Marseille and Leeds.

That twist could change the plan for Rak-Sakyi, who is also claimed to be of interest to another Championship side in Burnley.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi transfer decision

The future of Rak-Sakyi will be hotly debated at Crystal Palace over the next few weeks of the transfer window, as the best plan for his development is decided.

Should a loan move be the course of action, the right environment would have to be picked out so as to not waste a year of potential development.

If a permanent exit is made, then the right finances would have to be in place to ensure Palace get the best deal possible for a promising young talent.
