Luiz Henrique could join Crystal Palace this month as John Textor makes a move for the Real Betis forward.

That is according to Diario de Sevilla.

So, what was said about Luiz Henrique? Let’s take a look…

John Textor makes move to sign Luiz Henrique

Well – according to Diario de Sevilla – RB Leipzig were making good progress on a loan deal for the Brazilian winger, despite Real Betis ideally wanting to sell on a permanent basis.

Now – however – Textor has entered negotiations, and the American’s proposal is said to be far more aligned with what Real Betis want.

The Spanish news outlet do not mention where Henrique could end up.

It is only said that Textor wants the South American, and could send him to Lyon, Crystal Palace or Botafogo.

Henrique has made 13 appearances in La Liga for Real Betis so far this season, providing three assists.

Diario de Sevilla add that Real Betis already have West Ham No.8 Pablo Fornals in mind as a replacement for the 23-year-old, if Textor is successful in signing him.

Crystal Palace could do with Luiz Henrique

While Roy Hodgson remains at the helm, it is unclear whether the 76-year-old would actually use the Brazilian, having barely played Matheus Franca so far this season.

Nevertheless – looking at the squad on paper – there is no doubt that Crystal Palace could use an exciting, direct winger like Henrique.

Hodgson has recently been using Jeffrey Schlupp and Will Hughes in attacking areas while Jordan Ayew has been away with Ghana and Michael Olise remains injured.

Those two represent square pegs in round holes – to say the very least – so a natural wide attacking option would not go amiss before deadline day.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as it remains to be seen where Henrique goes if Textor does strike a deal with Real Betis.
