As August fast approaches, Crystal Palace looks to be heading for a busy month as rumours begin to heat up.
Oliver Glasner and his squad are in the United States at the moment, but the transfer dealings won’t wait for anyone with rumours emerging over two forwards possibly being sold this summer.
Jean-Philippe Mateta was one, with it being reported that he’s caught the interest of Aston Villa who now want to sign him this summer.

Leicester make bid to sign Jordan Ayew
Earlier on we’d relayed reports that Leicester City were showing an interest in Jordan Ayew, and now it seems already the story has moved on.
This comes according to journalist Alan Nixon who reports that the Foxes are now making a firm bid to sign Ayew from Palace this summer.
Leicester are believed to be after some Premier League experience to add to their ranks, with the Ghana international seen as their ideal man.
Ayew was also linked with Saudi Arabia, but it’s the Leicester move which is picking up pace at the moment.
Nixon also adds that he doubts the fee would be substantial, but Ayew may demand high wages to depart Selhurst Park.
Jordan Ayew’s career at Palace
In some ways, Ayew could be regarded especially highly among the alumni of the Eagles, not quite a legend but he certainly has been an influential figure for a long time.
Ayew has made 211 appearances for Palace which is a huge amount, coupled with the fact he’s bagged 23 goals and 22 assists.
Seen as a bargain when he arrived, Ayew has more than made good with the club after his move.
A more than solid club player and an excellent name to have in the squad as he was always ready when called upon. If this is the end for Ayew, he’ll have plenty of fans wishing him well.
