Crystal Palace are set to send one talent out on loan on deadline day.

The doors at Selhurst Park will be busy on deadline day, with incomings and outgoings expected to re-shape the Crystal Palace squad.

With at least three arrivals expected to be completed, now yet another exit has been rumoured with Dougie Freedman sending a talented youngster out on loan to Ligue 1.

Here is the latest…

Naouirou Ahamada set for Rennes move

This summer has seen Crystal Palace send a handful of talents out on loans with David Ozoh and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi being the highlights.

However, now Naouirou Ahamada has been reported to be in line for a loan exit from Selhurst Park, after failing to impress Oliver Glasner after his £10.5m move from Stuttgart.

It comes according to the Mirror’s Ryan Taylor who tweets that Ahamada is set to join Rennes on a season-long loan.

The agreement also includes an option for Rennes to purchase Ahamada for just £6.7m, a fee which is a £3.8m loss on what he cost the Eagles.

To make a loss like this on a player with potential will be painful for Freedman to take as it is one move he got wrong.

French journalist Benjamin Quarez also tweeted about the move, claiming that it would be completed in the next few hours.

A rare Crystal Palace transfer blunder

Freedman is superb at his job, with several transfer successes over the past few years, some key examples being Michael Olise, Adam Wharton and Ebere Eze.

But now, Ahamada will go down as a blunder despite the excitement upon his arrival.

However, he never quite managed to endear himself to Glasner with the Austrian clearly not a fan and the arrival of Daichi Kamada not doing much to help his case.

Now, it seems Crystal Palace are willing to take a hit on Ahamada and sell him for cheap.
