Crystal Palace can now get started on recruiting new players this summer after confirming the appointment of Pierre Sage.
The Frenchman may need to sign a new centre-back as Liverpool and Manchester United monitor Maxence Lacroix.
RC Lens wonderkid Ismaelo Ganiou is said to be a target if the France international does leave Selhurst Park.
However – according to Media Foot – Crystal Palace are currently leading the race to sign a new attacker in Lassine Sinayoko.
Initial thoughts on Pierre Sage? 🤔
He can boast a 67.5% win ratio from 40 games at RC Lens 😍
Crystal Palace front of the queue to sign Lassine Sinayoko
The French news outlet believe the Eagles are currently ‘well positioned’ to sign the Mali international from Auxerre this summer.
Media Foot say Sinayoko is looking to leave and has been given permission to do so, with only 12 months remaining on his contract.
That situation has led Auxerre to place a lowly €15m (£13m) price tag on the Malian – which could prove to be a bargain considering he just scored 12 goals and provided four assists across 32 appearances in Ligue 1 last season.
Sinayoko – who has played alongside Cheick Doucoure for Mali – can also boast a record of ten goals in 30 games for his country, a solid return of a goal every three games on average.

Media Foot add that Sage wanted the 26-year-old to join RC Lens last summer, which the report states could be a decisive factor this time around as Crystal Palace attempt to sign the Auxerre academy graduate.
Sinayoko made 17 appearances as a central striker last term along with ten games on the right flank, and five on the left – so the Auxerre No.10 is clearly a versatile attacker who could prove to be very useful in SE25 next season if this deal materialises.
Who is your DREAM signing? ⭐️
Fulham, Everton and Leeds are also said to be interested – although Crystal Palace lead the race at this moment in time.
