Crystal Palace have now seen a bid rejected for Adam Wharton – after already failing with another offer to sign Daniel Munoz.

Well – according to David Ornstein of The Athletic – Blackburn have now rejected an £18.5m bid from Crystal Palace.
It comes after the Guardian claimed that Crystal Palace have also seen an offer for Genk No.23 Munoz rebuffed as Dougie Freedman steps things up in the transfer market.
The Athletic explain that Blackburn would ideally like to receive more than £18.5m for Wharton, while the Championship outfit also want the England U20 international back on loan for the rest of the season.
That is not said to suit Crystal Palace, with The Athletic now stating that it is unclear whether the Eagles will continue with this transfer pursuit.
Wharton – aged just 19 – has made 26 appearances in the Championship so far this season, scoring two goals while also providing three assists.
Crystal Palace should offer players to Blackburn
In our view, the offer of David Ozoh and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan, along with the same £18.5m fee, might tempt Blackburn into selling Wharton.
The fact Rovers want the teenager back on loan suggests Jon Dahl Tomasson is concerned about his lack of midfield options.
Therefore, offering Ozoh on loan would help Blackburn replace Wharton, while Rak-Sakyi, who could certainly do with an extended run of game time, would be a sweetener in the deal.
The England U20 international scored 15 goals and provided ten assists on loan at Charlton last season, so he could prove to be a real handful in the Championship.
