Another day, another transfer link for Crystal Palace and once more it’s a possible Michael Olise replacement being linked.
Crystal Palace are well and truly in transfer mode, with several names beginning to be named this week with just eight weeks remaining this season.
Last week, while in Marbella, Oliver Glasner suggested that he and Dougie Freedman would be sitting down and discussing transfer options and planning for the summer.
So it’s no coincidence that the following week, we’ve seen several names linked with moving to Selhurst Park.
Now a new name has been mentioned, that being Jaden Philogene from Hull City who’s been on fire this season in the Championship.

Crystal Palace keen on Jaden Philogene
Crystal Palace are now said to be tracking Hull City’s star man, Jaden Philogene who has thrived since departing Villa Park last summer for £5m.
Now according to South London Press, Palace are keen on bringing him back to the Premier League and to Selhurst Park as a possible Michael Olise replacement.
Philogene is thought to be attracting substantial interest across England and Europe though which could make it difficult for Palace, with Aston Villa having a first refusal on Philogene, if Hull are promoted this season (currently seventh).
Freedman has developed a reputation for shopping in the Championship to great success, often plucking the best youngsters who slot straight into the Palace side.
At 22 years old, Philogene could be the next one who’d be perfect for Glasner’s Palace side.
Jaden Philogene would be the perfect singing
This season Philogene has been very impressive and there’s little surprise that Palace would be taking a look at him ahead of a summer move.
He has eight goals and six assists in 23 games this campaign and has drawn praise from some of the biggest pundits in football.
Micah Richards was one to praise the former Villa man while speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast.
“It was ridiculous… wow. A little bit of freedom, a little bit of flair to even try it. The audacity to do that… and then the execution was just sublime. So difficult to do.”
This was concerning Philogene’s breathtaking goal against Rotherham in February.
The goal was truly special and showed the magical touch that Palace have come to expect from Olise, possibly the ideal successor.
