Crystal Palace are in the market for a striker, and are now targeting Toulouse forward Thijs Dallinga.

The 23-year-old joined the French side from Dutch team Excelsior in 2022, and has scored 25 times in 58 appearances since.

He has scored seven times in 16 appearances this season across all competitions, and three of his goals came in two games against Liverpool in the Europa League.

The 1.9m striker could be a strong addition to the Crystal Palace attack, which has struggled for goals at times this season.

Crystal Palace face competition for Thijs Dallinga

TEAMtalk have now revealed that Crystal Palace, as well as Brentford and Bournemouth, are all targeting Dallinga for a potential move.

Crystal Palace need a striker as a priority. Odsonne Edouard has scored five times this season, but his all-round play leaves a lot to be desired, and he has recently hinted that his long-term future may not be at Selhurst Park.

Jean Philippe-Mateta has been unimpressive, and with the likes of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise playing in attacking midfield, a good striker may be the missing piece to help take Crystal Palace up a level.

Dallinga has been impressive in front of goal this year, as only Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe have outscored him for French clubs in 2023.

His 22 strikes throughout the year do not include a single penalty goal, and his performances in Europe have shown that he may need little adaptation time should he move to the Premier League.

It remains to be seen what kind of price will be needed to land him, and Brentford are considering him as a potential replacement for Ivan Toney, highlighting how highly sought-after he is.

What is clear though, is that Palace need a centre-forward in good goalscoring form, and Dallinga may be one of the best available options in the January transfer window.
