Crystal Palace are set to test Juventus’ resolve with a ‘super offer’ being prepared for Argentine wonderkid Matias Soule.

Roy Hodgson has quite the job on his hands to remain in his role until January, but if he can there could be a special player about to join his team.

Crystal Palace are believed to be extremely eager to bring young Argentine Matias Soule to London and this move could even occur in January.

We reported on Tuesday that the Juventus director, Giovanni Manna, had ruled out a deal occurring until June, but the latest report suggests otherwise and points toward a huge January offer from Palace.

Soule is a talent who could be game-changing for Palace and Hodgson which explains why The Eagles would be willing to part with a substantial fee.

Crystal Palace set to make their move for Matias Soule

According to a report on Wednesday by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Soule could soon be walking out at Selhurst Park for The Eagles.

The report states that Palace are set to make what is described as a ‘super offer’ to Juventus to sign 20-year-old gem Soule.

The Italian giants are believed to have offered Palace the chance to sign Soule for a fee of €35million (£30.1m approx).

This would be an offer which could blow the London side’s competitors out of the water with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United both also showing an interest.

Soule is an incredibly exciting player and has been setting the Serie A alight, but if he joined in January he isn’t a player we could expect to instantly change the fortunes of this side.

He would require what is likely to be a significant bedding in process as he adjusts to English football and life away from Italy.

Soule is a signing with an eye on the long term

Signing Soule is one which would be a great move in the long term as he does have boundless potential which could see him emerge as a key player.

However, in January, Palace need to make moves which can help in a potential relegation scrap and it’s easy to be concerned about his suitability for that.

Soule has shown for Frosinone this season that he is ready to be a regular starter at a top-division side we have no doubts he will be a success but he would need to hit the ground running for that price.
