SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Last night, Crystal Palace were involved in Champions League action after Monday’s 1-1 draw against Brighton at Selhurst Park.
Sadly, the likes of James McArthur and Joel Ward aren’t walking out to that famous anthem just yet – we were involved only from a recruitment aspect.

As you can see, we were among a list of prestigious clubs such as Bayern Munich, Liverpool and AC Milan who were in attendance as Benfica hammered Barcelona 3-0 yesterday evening.
So, who might we have been watching? Well, no names have been specified, although two players stood out from the rest…
Darwin Núñez
The undisputed Man of the Match, Darwin Núñez got Benfica off to the perfect start with a goal in the 3rd minute, after a neat stepover.
Impressively, the Uruguay international added another in the 79th minute to wrap up the three points, and take his tally to six goals in seven games this season.
Even if our scout didn’t come to watch the South American, they will have left the Estádio da Luz with his name written down for sure.
Roman Yaremchuk
Roman Yaremchuk is a player who West Ham wanted over the summer, according to Eurosport, after he scored 23 goals for KAA Gent last term.
The Ukraine international opted to join Benfica instead, where he has shone with four goals and four assists so far this season.
Yaremchuk couldn’t add to that tally against Barcelona, although he still caused plenty of problems regardless.
As WhoScored shows, the 25-year-old made two key passes, embarked on two successful dribbles, and won three freekicks.
Yaremchuk also had two shots and won three aerial duels in a busy display.
Nobody except those on our recruitment team know who was being scouted, although we have a good feeling these two players made a great impression.
