Crystal Palace now want to sign a Bosnian who impressed up against Adam Wharton and Ebere Eze in the 3-0 win for England on Monday.
Bosnia and Herzegovina were comprehensively outplayed by the Three Lions, with England boasting 70% possession and 25 shots, compared to just one effort from Sergej Barbarez’s side.
However, there was one Bosnian who delivered a composed display up against the likes of Ebere Eze and Adam Wharton – with Crystal Palace now keen to sign him…
Crystal Palace want Armin Gigovic
A story from Football Insider now states that Crystal Palace want to sign Armin Gigovic.
The FC Midtjylland No.37 was actually making his international debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina at St James’ Park on Monday when facing England, meaning his strong performance is all the more impressive.
Gigovic played 82 minutes against the Three Lions, completing 79% of his passes, winning two out of two aerial duels and also drawing two freekicks, as shown by SofaScore.

Football Insider believe the 22-year-old is valued at £12.7m amid interest from Crystal Palace.
Gigovic made 35 appearances for FC Midtjylland in the 2023/24 campaign, helping them win the Danish SuperLiga.
Dougie Freedman could eventually sign 22-year-old for free
Interestingly, there is a way Crystal Palace could sign Gigovic for free.
The Lund-born midfielder is actually contracted to Rostov in Russia, but has spent the last 18 months on loan at FC Midtjylland due to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Football Insider believe Gigovic could be available for another loan this summer with tensions still ongoing in Russia, and crucially, the midfielder’s contract with Rostov expires in June 2025.

Therefore, if Dougie Freedman can secure a season-long loan and the Bosnian impresses at Selhurst Park, it could lead to a permanent free transfer agreement in the summer of 2025, although Rostov may presumably be entitled to some form of compensation.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Gigovic is not the only central midfielder Crystal Palace are looking at right now…
