Reports suggest that another Premier League club has made a new bid for Crystal Palace transfer target Jack Clarke
That is according to Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie.
So, what’s the latest on Jack Clarke? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie reported the latest on Burnley’s interest in the Palace target. He said: “Burnley have in the last 24hrs made a bid in region of £9m for Sunderland winger Jack Clarke. The 22yo is attracting lots of interest — following a brilliant season.
“Sunderland yet to respond to Burnley’s latest offer — multiple bids have been made by Vincent Kompany’s PL side.”
There have been lots of reports suggesting that the Sunderland player is a target for Crystal Palace this summer. Journalist Fabrizio Romano is one who has reported on Palace’s interested in Clarke.
Crystal Palace need to act quickly if they want Jack Clarke
The Sunderland winger, who has also been at Tottenham and Leeds, had a great season in the Championship. The left-winger scored nine goals and picked up 11 assists in 45 Championship appearances.
With him only 22 years-old, he clearly has the potential to succeed at a top level. With multiple Premier League clubs wanting him and the player able to score and create goals, he looks like an ideal signing for Palace.
Over the years, we have loved getting young talent from the Championship. Clarke fits the profile of Palace transfer targets perfectly.
If those in the hierarchy want to sign the winger, then they need to act quick as Burnley have submitted a bid for the ‘great‘ player.
With Wilfried Zaha possibly leaving the club on a free transfer, we need better attackers on the wing. Clarke looks like a great option.
