Wolverhampton Wanderers are believed to be keen on Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, according to reports.
Roy Hodgson made the summer decision to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson on a permanent deal but the Englishman has had a multitude of fitness problems since then.
As a result, former West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has been the club’s number one goalkeeper but that could now be different as Henderson is back fit and has impressed.
A transfer away from the club could well be on the cards and Gary O’Neil’s Wolverhampton Wanderers could be ready to make a move for the English goalkeeper.

Wolves’ interest
According to a report from Alan Nixon, via his Patreon, the black-country side are believed to be keen on the Englishman as Jose Sa’s future in the Midlands looks uncertain.
As a result of the Portuguese’s uncertain future, the Midlands side could target Johnstone with the England international only losing his place through injury but he will be fit soon. Wolves have been on his trail since the summer when Henderson first moved.
Wolves are in the market for a new keeper, with Sa in the sights of Nottingham Forest and in Saudi Arabia.
The East Midlands side have targeted Sa before and due to Nuno Espirito Santo taking over the reins at the City Ground, a move could be in the offing.
Palace’s position
Despite how well Johnstone has done for the Eagles, having two goalkeepers, who are both first-team quality, is difficult in any team as only one gets to play and oftentimes, rotating your goalkeeper can be bad for the team as a whole.
Johnstone joined the Eagles on a free transfer but since then his value has understandably soared. So Wolves would have to pay a decent fee. Newcastle are also reportedly checking on developments with him.
Palace will surely need to move him on if they can’t guarantee him first-team minutes in the squad and the London side could pocket a healthy amount.
