Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Tottenham are now monitoring Crystal Palace No.10 Eberechi Eze after Bryan Gil underwent surgery on his groin.
That is according to Football London.
So, what are the details involving Tottenham and Eberechi Eze? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, there aren’t many players left at Selhurst Park who haven’t been linked with a move away this summer.
We’ve seen rumours flying around about Michael Olise, Joachim Andersen, Cheick Doucoure and Marc Guehi, with Eze now joining that list as Tottenham circle.
Football London believe Spurs are looking at the England international as Ange Postecoglou aims to improve his attacking midfield options, after the £21.6m Gil damaged his groin.
Alasdair Gold – who wrote the story – interestingly notes that Eze is represented by CAA Base, who seemingly have a strong relationship with Tottenham.
James Maddison, Heung-min Son, Richarlison, Pedro Porro and Pape Matar Sarr are just some of those at Tottenham who shared the same agency as Eze.
Crystal Palace must tie Eze down quickly as Tottenham circle
If pre-season is anything to go by, Eze is going to enjoy a standout 2023/24 campaign, which will inevitably lead to more sides taking an interest in his signature next summer.
By that point in time, the 25-year-old will only have 12 months remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park, which doesn’t leave us in a strong position, to say the least.
It would only become harder to keep Eze if he breaks into the England side and shines at EURO 2024 next summer as well, which is certainly possible given his immense talent.
Therefore, it is imperative that we get the £47,000-a-week man tied down to a new contract as soon as possible.
Be sure to keep an eye on Eze’s situation this summer, as Tottenham could make a concrete move before deadline day.
