Crystal Palace are now considering a second bid for Blackburn No.23 Adam Wharton after seeing an offer worth £18.5m rejected.

The 19-year-old was named Blackburn’s Young Player of the Season last term, and his composed playing style has drawn comparisons to Jack Wilshere.
It is said that Crystal Palace are now considering internally whether to submit an improved bid for Wharton, with the Guardian claiming that Blackburn want considerably more than the £18.5m opening offer.
The Championship outfit also want the Blackburn-born maestro back on loan as part of the deal.
It is said that the Eagles want a midfielder and a right-back as priority signings before deadline day, after a dreadful run of form under Roy Hodgson.
