Crystal Palace are searching for the perfect Michael Olise replacement and Antonio Nusa could be exactly that.

Losing Michael Olise this summer was always the likeliest outcome of the interest being shown in him. For Crystal Palace, this means there should’ve been plenty of time to scout and plan who the ideal replacement is.

This explains why since the exit was confirmed, we’ve seen several different players linked, most of which are perfect replacements for Olise stylistically.

But the options are all quite different in terms of price and how available they are this summer. Now, it’s been reported how Palace are thinking about Antonio Nusa.

What Crystal Palace think about signing Antonio Nusa this summer

Replacing Olise will be of the utmost importance for Dougie Freedman right now, and he has several options who have already been linked with a move to the Eagles.

Now, speaking with Give Me Sport, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has explained the situation surrounding Nusa and added what Palace are thinking about making the move.

“For sure, Crystal Palace are also considering signing Antonio Nusa, but at the moment, he is considered an expensive option. So let’s see if Crystal Palace will decide to proceed or not.”

With Nusa proving expensive at £25m, Romano did re-emphasise that Palace would be signing a winger this summer with there being little debate over that.

“For sure, they will add one more player there. They are considering several possibilities.”

The issues around Nusa’s price could explain the Portuguese reports which have suggested a bid has been made for Marcus Edwards.

Antonio Nusa is the signing Palace make to properly replace Olise

For Palace replacing Olise properly could be the difference between reaching Europe next season, or battling midtable and in terms of the price of a replacement, the club will get what they pay for.

Nusa is a tier-one talent, and alongside Matias Soule, should be the first choice to replace Olise this summer, closely followed by Jaden Philogene.

Nusa has just turned 19 and already has drawn comparisons to Erling Haaland which highlights how talented he is.

Palace need to push the boat out and sign a proper replacement this summer. It’s the least Oliver Glasner deserves.
