After a whirlwind 24 hours for Crystal Palace, Wilfried Zaha’s return might be off.
Crystal Palace looked like bringing Wilfried Zaha back to Selhurst Park would be an easy feat – with every pointing in that direction.
Palace had been informed of the price and was willing to pay it in order to see the club legend back on the books at the club.
Meanwhile, Zaha was also said to be open to the move himself, which made it seem like an inevitability.
But now things have taken a turn – here is all the latest regarding Zaha’s Galatasaray exit.

Zaha to Palace is off but a Premier League return is still on
Zaha returning to Selhurst Park was a move few fans would have turned down, but it now looks unlikely following the latest updates.
Fabrizio Romano shared an update on Zaha’s potential return last night and it was not a positive one.
The transfer expert took to X and posted that his understanding was that the deal was now off. This is quite a drastic turn from reports earlier in the day which were beginning to sound assured that the move would transpire.
However, withing a move back to Selhurst Park, there is still a chance Zaha will return to the Premier League.
This comes after The Athletic reported that Leicester City are now working on a deal to bring the winger to the King Power on loan for their return to the top division.
Zaha missed Galatasaray’s friendly on Friday night due to ongoing negotiations over his move.
If Palace miss Zaha it is for the best
While the idea of Zaha returning to Palace was exciting it ultimately is not a move which will make or break the summer for the Eagles.
Zaha left Palace with his aim being higher heights, only to come back a year later when Palace are doing better.
The Eagles are fine without him and he would be more of a luxury addition than a necessary one at this stage.
His ultra-high wages would make it a risk and in recent years club legends returning to their former sides have not always been a success – for example, Cristiano Ronaldo to Man United.
Palace should instead be looking to bring in another dynamic forward, but one who is on the rise.
