Crystal Palace have suffered a disastrous start to the season, and manager Oliver Glasner is under huge pressure.

Glasner was a revelation when he replaced Roy Hodgson last season, and Crystal Palace ended up finishing in 10th place in the Premier League, with a remarkable six wins from seven games to finish the season.

However, this season has been a difficult one, and the Austrian has been criticised as Palace have won just one of their opening 11 league games.

Dismissal is a huge possibility for Glasner, but some may consider this unfair given how impressive Palace were when he initially arrived.

Crystal Palace’s last 10 games under Oliver Glasner

Palace’s last 10 Premier League games under Glasner have seen just one win, which came against Tottenham Hotspur.

There have been four draws, against Chelsea, Leicester City, Manchester United and Wolves, with defeats against West Ham, Everton, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

In these last 10 games, Palace have scored just seven goals, and have conceded 13 times, earning seven points, with the departure of Michael Olise clearly hitting Glasner hard.

Glasner replaced Hodgson, who was under huge scrutiny with both performances and results well below par.

Hodgson’s final 10 games in charge saw Palace win more than Glasner has in this run, with two wins from 10 ending the veteran’s time at the club.

Palace won two, drew two and lost six of Hodgson’s final 10 games. Wins came against Brentford and Sheffield United, with draws against Manchester City and Brighton, totalling eight points.

Hodgson’s side managed 13 goals in these 10 games, but they were defensively woeful as they conceded 24 times in this run.

Patrick Vieira’s last 10 games as Crystal Palace manager

There was a mixed response in March 2023 as Palace parted ways with Patrick Vieira. The Frenchman was popular in his first season, but he ended his time at Selhurst Park on the back of a nightmare run of form.

Remarkably, Vieira won none of his last 10 Premier League games as Palace manager. His side drew five times, therefore earning five points, but they did face an incredibly tough run.

Palace suffered narrow defeats against Chelsea, Man United, Aston Villa, Man City and Brighton, with draws against Man United, Newcastle, Brighton, Brentford and Liverpool.

In this run, Palace did not lose by more than one goal, and conceded nine times in the 10 matches, but scored just four times. Injuries to Olise and Eberechi Eze did not help, but it was a run which Vieira could not survive.
