Arsenal fans will love what Crystal Palace supporters chanted at Man City

Arsenal fans seemingly cared more about Crystal Palace doing well against Manchester City on Wednesday night than Crystal Palace supporters themselves.

The Gunners could have won the Premier League title on Monday night with a win over Burnley had Crystal Palace avoided defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

However, goals from Antoine Semenyo, Omar Marmoush and Savinho sealed a comprehensive 3-0 win for Pep Guardiola, on an evening where most Crystal Palace players seemed almost wary of suffering an injury ahead of the UEFA Conference League final on 27th May and played cautiously.

Despite the result, Crystal Palace fans still seem to expect Arsenal to get the job done, as a taunting chant was aimed at Manchester City during the loss at the Etihad Stadium.

Crystal Palace fans chant “second again” at Manchester City

Having defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup final last season, Crystal Palace fans saw an opportunity to poke fun at the Citizens on Wednesday evening.

Those in the away section of the Etihad Stadium could be heard chanting “second again, ole ole” towards the home fans, as they find themselves potentially one result away from conceding the Premier League title to Arsenal.

Some fans on social media grew confused and argued that Manchester City haven’t finished second since the 2019/20 campaign – which says it all about their outlook on the FA Cup and what it means to them.

Contrastingly, it was arguably the greatest day in the history of our club, as fans got to see Crystal Palace – who want Andoni Iraola – lift a major trophy for the first time ever.

Arsenal fans will love what was chanted at Manchester City, and they could be in store for another treat when the Gunners come to Selhurst Park on the final day.

Who should we be looking to keep around? 📝

That clash comes just three days before the UEFA Conference League final, so we feel it is highly likely Oliver Glasner fields a weakened side, giving Arsenal a glorious chance to seal the title should they manage to beat Burnley on Monday.
