Andoni Iraola has now addressed rumours involving himself and Crystal Palace.
Matteo Moretto claims Iraola is considering a move to Crystal Palace after Steve Parish presented a “considerable” offer to the Spaniard, who is personally said to be attracted by a potential move to Selhurst Park.
The BBC have confirmed that talks are taking place, but the 43-year-old is keeping his options open amid vacancies at Manchester United and Chelsea.
When asked to comment on Crystal Palace after guiding Bournemouth to a 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday, Iraola effectively confirmed the rumour that he is keeping his options open.
Who do YOU want as the next Crystal Palace boss? 🤔
Andoni Iraola says there is “no rush” to decide on his future
The man born in Usurbil began to dodge the question when first asked, but hinted that a move to Crystal Palace is not as close as some are making out.
For example, El Chiringuito in Spain claimed Iraola was close to an agreement with the Eagles.
The Bournemouth boss said: “Out of respect to Bournemouth, I’m not talking about my future, and I’m in no rush to make a decision either.”
We doubt Iraola will make a decision until the season is over.
It remains to be seen if Crystal Palace begin the 2026/27 campaign as a UEFA Europa League outfit, or a club with no European football to offer whatsoever.
Should Iraola reject the Eagles, the likes of Kieran McKenna – who Crystal Palace spoke to in 2024 – Frank Lampard, Pierre Sage, Sean Dyche, Marcelino and Inigo Perez have also been linked as possible replacements for Oliver Glasner.
Sources close to Crystal Palace even told the Independent there is a 5% chance Glasner stays – adding another interesting dimension to this managerial saga.
Who deserves to take the crown from Daniel Munoz? 👑
Be sure to keep an eye on the situation, as Parish tries to bring Iraola to SE25.
