Crystal Palace’s two-star men blew Sheffield United away on Tuesday with a 3-2 win coming at a vital point for Roy Hodgson.
Coming from behind twice, Crystal Palace had their two key players to thank for a miraculous and dramatic victory.
Eberechi Eze scored twice, with Michael Olise scoring once and also assisting his teammate with his two goals.
This is just the latest line in an impressive relationship these two have together and they’re simply a cut above the rest of their teammates and the opposition last night.
The pair were so impressive that they caught the eye of Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder who has been raving about both Eze and Olise.

Chris Wilder raves over Crystal Palace duo
Speaking post-game with the BBC, Wilder was in awe at the display he’d just seen from Olise and Eze at Selhurst Park.
“The quality those two boys possess you could see it lit up Palace. I’m not sure Dougie [Freedman] and Palace would accept £50m for [either] of those boys. We could have done with Olise having a few more days off. Those boys can destroy your game plan”
Two players that any team in the league would envy and Wilder knows it, with his prediction that the pair are worth north of a combined £100m.
Eze and Olise are top-level players and without them, we dread to think where Palace would be in the league. However, despite how desperate the club will be to keep them, it’s likely substantial interest will arrive which could make this difficult to achieve.
But now Roy Hodgson has explained what Palace must do to keep the two at Selhurst beyond this season – as unlikely as that looks currently.
Roy Hodgson on what Palace need to do to keep Eze and Olise
Speaking after the win, as reported by Ed Aarons, Hodgson was speaking about Eze and Olise. He explained exactly how Palace can keep the pair long-term.
“They’re highly valuable players under long-term contracts and it’s up to us to make us a better team so they don’t feel they have to go elsewhere.”
This a fair assessment of the situation, with improvements needed otherwise the duo will simply seek to join a bigger club higher up the table – although that could yet happen anyway with Manchester United keen on Olise.
