Yeremy Pino made his first start for Crystal Palace in the 0-0 draw against Sunderland.
The Spain international was lively on his full debut at Selhurst Park, going close with an effort from distance before missing a golden opportunity in the opening 45 minutes.
However, the new Crystal Palace No.10 persevered, impressing even more in the second half after Oliver Glasner moved him to the left flank and put Daichi Kamada on the right.
Crystal Palace fans suggest Yeremy Pino needs to stay on the left
Supporters have now made it crystal clear that the Spaniard performed more effectively on the left, compared to his 45 minutes on the right flank.
One Crystal Palace fan wrote: “Much better start to the second half from Pino after moving to the left. Involved in everything. His moment will come.”
Another added: “Pino second half been twice as (good) as his first half performance.”
It was telling that this post came within just minutes of the second half.
Furthermore, a third Crystal Palace fan wrote: “Pino over to the left and we look ten times better.”
The £21.6m signing from Villarreal has made 48 appearances on the left side throughout his club career, compared to 74 on the right – so you can understand why Glasner started him there initially.

How Yeremy Pino performed on the left compared to the right statistically
The numbers prove these Crystal Palace fans right on Pino – who Glasner hinted would start – specifically from a defensive point of view.

As you can see, Pino improved when it comes to winning ground duels, keeping possession and dribbling with the ball, seemingly preferring to cut inside on his stronger right foot, which appeared more natural.
There is still – of course – plenty of room for improvement for the man born in Las Palmas, as he learns to play with his new teammates, and they attempt to get used to his style of play.
However, after a bright cameo in the 3-0 win against Aston Villa as well, the early signs are very encouraging from Pino.
