Oliver Glasner has admitted that he was left scared by one thing during the 2-0 Crystal Palace win against Newcastle.
For Crystal Palace, Wednesday night brought with it a third straight win, and it was also against another opponent that three weeks ago looked a daunting task.
Oliver Glasner‘s side particularly against West Ham and now Newcastle, have dominated and made the opposition look far worse than they are.
Among the highlights of the game was Will Hughes’ performance and also Jean-Philippe Mateta scoring another brace which broke a record in the process.
However, after the game, Glasner admitted that despite his side looking in full control he was actually left scared about one thing.

After the game, as Glasner spoke to the press he admitted that despite the victory being comfortable, he was left scared by one thing during the game at Selhurst Park.
As quoted by Ed Aarons, Glasner admitted he was blown away by the work rate from his team against Newcastle, but this left him scared.
“I was scared that I would have to make 10 substitutions because the intensity in the first 30 minutes was so great.
“I have to thank the players for all their efforts.”
Remarkably, Glasner has managed to change the mentality and philosophy so quickly at Palace. In the early weeks, we saw the players were struggling after 70 minutes but he’s already fixed that.

When he arrived, and even after he’d arrived, we wrote about how Glasner needed to solve the squad’s fitness issues.
These problems saw Palace collapse after the 70th minute on more than one occasion, conceding goals and dropping points.
However, the last few weeks have shown that this is no longer the case.
Glasner’s side can play well and work hard for the entire game and we’ve seen the benefit of that with two clean sheets in the past three games.
It’s going to be scary for the rest of the league to find out just how good Glasner can make this Palace side after a summer of recruitment.
