Crystal Palace will be looking for a return to winning ways on Saturday against Luton Town, here’s our predicted line-up.
Oliver Glasner‘s dream start to life at Selhurst Park was brought to an abrupt end last weekend after a 3-1 defeat was suffered at the hands of Spurs.
Crystal Palace couldn’t quite hold on, despite taking a 1-0 lead through Eberechi Eze’s ‘fantastic’ free-kick strike. Spurs then went on to score three in the final 15 minutes of the 90.
The performance in style was the polar opposite of how Palace battered Burnley in his first game, but that was to be expected given how good Spurs are.
Now though against a team below Palace, Glasner will have his eyes locked firmly on claiming all three points and moving the Eagles 11 points above Luton.
Here’s how we think he’ll line up…
Crystal Palace predicted XI vs Luton Town
Against Luton, a win could be a definitive end to concerns over Palace’s future in the Premier League and therefore we expect Glasner to take no chances.
The only new absentee for Glasner to contend with is Matheus Franca who is out of this one through injury.
This means Sam Johnstone will likely keep his place again in goal despite conceding three against Spurs.
Ahead of Johnstone will be the back three of Joel Ward, Joachim Andersen and then Chris Richards who was impressive even in defeat. Two of this trio will be keen to redeem themselves, particularly Andersen who made two huge errors last week.
The wing-backs remain the same so Tyrick Mitchell is on the left and then Daniel Munoz is on the right. This pair will also be hoping to put in a strong display after a poor one last weekend.
Jefferson Lerma will start alongside Adam Wharton who is fresh off receiving a commemorative gift from his teammates.
Eze starts once more on the left side with Jordan Ayew on the right. Both will be massive in this game if Palace are to be successful against Luton.
Upfront, Jean-Philippe Mateta should make way for Odsonne Edouard to get a chance up front given how quiet Mateta has been in both games under Glasner.
