Crystal Palace switch the Premier League for the Carabao Cup in midweek as they turn to the competition for some much-needed respite.

Oliver Glasner has struggled to get the same performances out of his team that he managed at the back end of last season, with just two points in the league to show for those efforts.

There’s still plenty of time for the Eagles to turn things around after a chaotic summer in the transfer window though, but results will be wanted soon.

That’s where the EFL Cup could come in handy, offering the Crystal Palace boss a chance to return that winning habit.

After beating Norwich last time out, a trip across London is on the cards to take on QPR, who will be looking to cause an upset.

So with that said, here’s a look at everything you need to know about Crystal Palace v QPR in the Carabao Cup third round.

Crystal Palace team news

Crystal Palace are set to have a few players missing from the squad as they face QPR on Tuesday night, with various injury and other concerns.

Rob Holding has been excluded from the Crystal Palace squad, with Glasner revealing that the defender is training on his own.

Trevoh Chalobah (abdominal), Matheus Franca (ribs) and Chadi Riad (knee) are all expected to miss out on the tie, while Cheick Doucoure (toe) is a fresh concern.

The Crystal Palace boss opted for a strong lineup against Norwich in the last round and could do so again – which may see Eberechi Eze make his return against his former side.
