Eberechi Eze made his return to Loftus Road on Tuesday night as Crystal Palace progressed to the Carabao Cup fourth round.
It has been four years since Crystal Palace signed Eberechi Eze from QPR for a fee of just £17m – a number which has since proven to be a bargain.
For Eberechi Eze, it was a happy return to his former stomping ground, with a goal and an assist in the game for the Eagles, as Eddie Nketiah also grabbed his first goal for the club.
But before a ball was even kicked at Loftus Road, Eze was given a gift by his former club.

How QPR welcomed Eberechi Eze back to Loftus Road
It will have been an emotional night for Eze, returning to the club he really broke through at before his big Premier League move to Selhurst Park.
He did not exactly do his former side any favours in the game, scoring and assisting which showed the home fans just how good he had become.
Prior to kick-off, there was a touching moment when QPR chiefs presented Eze with a QPR shirt with his name and the number 112 on the back – which is how many performances he made for the club before his Crystal Palace switch.
This is a classy move for a classy player who is as likeable as they come in football, and he deserves this level of respect and kudos from his former club – something that if he ever leaves Selhurst Park he will also have here.
Crystal Palace’s £17m bargain
Eze costing £17m was a move which at the time would have raised quite a few eyebrows. A Championship player with 20 goals and 13 assists in 112 games for a figure like £17m.
However fast forward four years and Eze has proven himself to be a bargain and chances are his eventual exit will post Crystal Palace a chunky profit.
130 games, 29 goals and 18 assists into his Selhurst Park career he is on the cusp of becoming a club legend if the Eagles can achieve something noteworthy while he is here.
Eze is without a doubt the star player currently at Oliver Glasner’s disposal and without him, things would be pretty ropey at Selhurst Park right now.
