Are Crystal Palace having a parade to celebrate winning the UEFA Conference League?
It is a question on the lips of thousands of Crystal Palace fans after Oliver Glasner led us to victory over Rayo Vallecano in Leipzig.
At this moment in time, it is difficult due to the fact many players have already left for international duty ahead of the World Cup, although Steve Parish does still hope to have a parade later on in the summer.

Contact has been made with Crystal Palace Park but they are “unlikely” hosts
As of Saturday (30th May) afternoon, Ed Aarons of the Guardian revealed that Crystal Palace still aim to have a parade later in the summer, and an approach has been made to Crystal Palace Park to see if they would host the event.
However, the reliable journalist did concede that Crystal Palace Park are “unlikely” to host the event due to current refurbishment work taking place.
Croydon Council have offered support
Jason Perry – the Mayor of Croydon – has reached out to Parish to offer “support in helping the club deliver a victory parade and civic celebration” after the win over Rayo Vallecano.
It provides some hope that an event can still happen, but the signs aren’t positive largely due to the World Cup.
It is difficult to see how Parish manages to get this parade going, at least with everyone involved in winning the UEFA Conference League, that is.
The World Cup starts on 11th June and ends on 19th July. Players then get around two to three weeks holiday, before the new Premier League campaign begins on Saturday 22nd August.
It will therefore be tough to squeeze a parade in. The likes of Daichi Kamada, Nathaniel Clyne, Jefferson Lerma – who has already opted to leave, allegedly – Evann Guessand, Christantus Uche and Kaden Rodney might no longer be at Crystal Palace either, with all seeing their contracts expire this summer.

Glasner, of course, has already left, and could have a new job elsewhere before a parade happens – the Austrian is holding talks with AC Milan.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation as it develops, but from our point of view, it is hard to see how Parish arranges a proper victory parade on this occasion amidst a hectic summer.
