Chris Sutton has now shared his prediction ahead of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Well, the Eagles have tasted victory just once across the last 11 outings – and are currently on a run of seven games without a win.
Sutton does not expect that to change in west London on Wednesday night.
The man from Nottingham wrote: “I hope I do better at predicting Chelsea’s results in 2024 than I have managed this year. They have had some odd defeats at home, as well as away – so the fact they are at Stamford Bridge doesn’t really help me much.
“Crystal Palace can cause them problems on the break, but I am going to go with Mauricio Pochettino’s side to edge this one… and you know probably know what that means. Chelsea 2-1 Crystal Palace.”
It is undoubtedly going to be a tough game for Roy Hodgson and his side at Stamford Bridge, although it has been made slightly less difficult thanks to the fact Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer are suspended.
Crystal Palace hold woeful record against Chelsea
Believe it or not, the last time we beat Chelsea was actually in one of Hodgson’s first matches in charge after replacing Frank de Boer in 2017 – it was that long ago.
Since then, the Blues have won all 12 meetings against the Eagles – there has not even been a single draw.
11 of those defeats have come in the Premier League – this run is the longest period of time Crystal Palace have gone without a win against any single opponent in the club’s history, which is quite staggering.
Hopefully, Sutton is wrong, and Hodgson can put that terrible record right – if not, relegation fears will intensify, and Steve Cooper may potentially arrive in SE25.
