The latest reports suggest that Crystal Palace are interested in signing former Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom.

According to TEAMTalk, there are a lot of clubs interested in Akpom, with six clubs from the Premier League monitoring the player.
The report goes on to say that Crystal Palace and Fulham have already “enquired” about the availability of Akpom.
Meanwhile, fellow Premier League sides Everton, Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United are all keeping tabs on the forward.
At the moment, it is not known whether the player would like to leave Ajax. He only joined them in the summer but it looks like a move back to England could be on the cards.
Crystal Palace interested in Chuba Akpom
It is no shock to see the Eagles interested in a striker. Although Odsonne Edouard has managed five goals in 12 games this season, he needs help.
Jean-Philippe Mateta does not do enough in the Premier League and does not have a single Premier League goal this season. He perhaps needs to be sold soon to help us sign a stronger attacker.
Akpom is having a decent season for Ajax, where he has five goals in nine appearances. He is currently averaging a goal every 65 minutes this season.
Last season in the Championship, the forward managed 28 goals. Akpom is clearly a top finisher and he is an attacking option that Palace desperately need at the moment.
Palace need to be scoring more this season and in order to do that they need to strengthen their attacking options. The 28 year-old would be a perfect option.
A good January transfer window is needed as the last few weeks have emphasised that the squad is not strong enough to compete high up the league.
