Crystal Palace are in somewhat of an injury crisis at the moment but they will be boosted by the latest injury update around striker Odsonne Edouard.
The Frenchman signalled to the dugout towards the end of Crystal Palace’s 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park against Fulham on the 23rd of September. He has been sidelined since due to a hamstring injury. Now, new reports have provided an update on the player.
So, what’s the latest on Odsonne Edouard’s injury and when could he be back for Crystal Palace? Let’s take a look…
Crystal Palace injury update on striker Odsonne Edouard
Reports from The Guardian have shared a very positive update on Edouard and it will be some much-needed news for Palace fans.
The report says that manager Roy Hodgson is hoping that Edouard will be available for selection against Nottingham Forest on the weekend.
With multiple key players currently injured like Michael Olise and Jefferson Lerma, this news will be a huge boost.
It is even more of a boost as it was only yesterday that it was found out that Eberechi Eze is now injured and could be out for up to six weeks.

Odsonne Edouard needs to be in Roy Hodgson’s starting XI vs Nottingham Forest
If Edouard is available for selection and is 100% match fit then he needs to go straight back into the Crystal Palace starting XI for their match against Nottingham Forest.
In the Premier League this season, the 25-year-old striker, who signed from Celtic in 2021 for £14million, has managed four goals in six games.
This is a great tally for the Frenchman and emphasises how crucial he is in the Palace team this season. Despite the great victory against Manchester United, Edouard’s absence in the squad was a huge loss and the Eagles had to rely on a goal from centre-back Joachim Andersen.
With Olise and Eze also injured, the Eagles are definitely lacking a lot of attacking threat in their squad at the moment.

With this in mind, Roy Hodgson needs Edouard back in the starting lineup against Nottingham Forest as he can provide the attacking threat for the club.
More so, Edouard and Jean-Philippe Mateta have worked well when playing together this season. Mateta has assisted Edouard three times in the division this campaign. Having them back together would be a huge morale boost for the club and for fans.
