Crystal Palace close to hiring Oliver Glasner
Well, Hodgson was due to hold a press conference today ahead of Monday’s Premier League clash against Everton.
However, the club have since confirmed on X (previously known as Twitter) that the man from Croydon was taken ill during training this morning, so the press conference has been cancelled.
As detailed by Fabrizio Romano – Crystal Palace have spoken to Glasner and the Austrian is keen to take over at Selhurst Park, following a run of two wins in 15 outings under Hodgson.
Now – according to Sky Sports Austria – Crystal Palace are on the verge of hiring the man from Schärding.

It is said that Glasner has already decided to bring Pogatetz – who made 116 Premier League appearances during his time at Middlesbrough and West Ham – with him to south London as part of his coaching team.
The 41-year-old will leave his role in charge of FK Austria Wien to move to SE25 with Glasner, and Stephan Helm shall take over the Austrian outfit.
