Crystal Palace have now agreed terms to sign Maxwel Cornet on loan from West Ham.
That is according to Ed Aarons of the Guardian.

Crystal Palace agree terms to sign Maxwel Cornet
Well – according to Aarons – an agreement has been reached to sign the Ivory Coast international.
However, it is not as simple as it sounds.
Aarons explains that West Ham want to sign a replacement before allowing Cornet – who Roy Keane called a “brilliant” footballer back in 2022 – to leave the London Stadium.
The reliable journalist wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Understand that Palace have agreed terms over potential Maxwel Cornet loan but move still hinges on West Ham being able to sign a replacement… #cpfc”
It represents another shock development in this particular transfer saga.
Earlier on deadline day, a story from TEAMtalk claimed that Roy Hodgson was not in favour of bringing Cornet to Selhurst Park – something that was later backed up by Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail.
Nevertheless – whether that was true or not – Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman have pushed ahead to agree terms with the Ivorian.

One thing that must be noted is the fact West Ham are also expected to sell Said Benrahma to Lyon – and are said to have reservations about weakening their wide attacking options too severely by letting Cornet leave too.
Therefore, we feel quite pessimistic about this deal materialising as things stand, so Freedman hopefully has a backup option in mind.
It would be risky business to sit and wait for West Ham to sign a new winger up until the 11pm transfer deadline, to see whether Cornet will arrive at Selhurst Park – to say the least.
Therefore, if the east Londoners have not found a replacement by around 8pm or so, Freedman should move on – Marseille No.29 Iliman Ndiaye is one player who could be targeted instead.
