Crystal Palace are seemingly keen on tying down two first-team players in the near future in a bid to fend off interest from rival clubs.
Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace are currently in 13th in the Premier League table and have won three games out of a possible 10 in the league.
Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze have been exceptional this season, so much so that they have been linked with a move to some of the Premier League’s top sides.
However, according to a report from GiveMeSport, the Eagles are keen to tie down the pair to a new contract and fend off interest in their services from other top sides in the division.
Palace’s plan
According to the report, the club are desperate to hold on to the pair amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester City, with last season’s treble winners reportedly making a deadline-day offer for the English winger Eze.
The report states that City made a £60 million offer for the Englishman before the close of the deadline as a replacement for Riyad Mahrez who joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli this summer.
Manchester United have a strong interest in Marc Guehi, according to Fabrizio Romano, so the south London side may well find it tough to hold onto the pair.

If the south London club can tie down the pair to new long-term contracts this would be a huge coup for Roy Hodgson’s side after such a tough start to the season.
However, the report also states that if Palace are able to tie down the pair they still would be open to selling one of their key men as long as their price tag, which would be exorbitant due to their new contracts, is met.
The report doesn’t state whether the pair would be open to signing new contracts but you would imagine they would be keen on doing so if they receive a wage increase.
