Joachim Andersen has urged Crystal Palace to make some signings this month after Wednesday’s 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Everton.

The 27-year-old made the comments when speaking to Alessandro Schiavone.

So, what did Joachim Andersen say after Crystal Palace suffered defeat on Wednesday? Let’s take a look…

Joachim Andersen urges Steve Parish to make some signings

Well, the Denmark international’s exact words will be released at the weekend, although Schiavone posted a preview of his post-match chat with the defender on X (previously known as Twitter).

The Italian journalist wrote: “Joachim Andersen urges Crystal Palace to buy players! Read exclusive interview in the paper this weekend! 🗞️”

Hopefully, Steve Parish listens to the Dane.

In our view, the club is sleepwalking towards relegation – whether it be this season or in the 2024/25 campaign.

The squad has turned stale in a number of areas, specifically in the right-back department where Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne are both far beyond their best years.

A new striker also would not go amiss – only Sheffield United and Burnley have scored fewer than our tally of 22 goals in 20 Premier League outings this season.

Joachim Andersen may leave Crystal Palace this summer

In our view, the Crystal Palace No.16 may decide to leave SE25 this summer due to a lack of ambition at Selhurst Park.

Andersen has already been vocal about wanting to play in the UEFA Champions League once again, with Newcastle believed to be keen on securing his signature.

The centre-back also appears to cut a frustrated figure out on the pitch more often than not, as Hodgson continues to adopt a defensive style of play which seems to bring little enjoyment to the players.

Therefore – if nothing changes – we can certainly see Andersen calling time on his Crystal Palace career this summer, especially after his demand for new signings.
