Crystal Palace have several youngsters impressing in their youth ranks right now, with some names heading out on loan this summer including Hindolo Mustapha.

Regarded as Palace’s next best academy prospect, Mustapha is actually struggling on loan at Nurnberg where he’s failing to get into Miroslav Klose’s side.

Back at Crystal Palace meanwhile, Benji Casey continues to impress, and he’s now set to be rewarded for his good work.

Benji Casey set to sign pro contract at Crystal Palace

An emerging report from NewsHopper has revealed that Crystal Palace are set to hand Casey, 17, his first professional contract at the club, following his impressive 2024/25 season and his strong start to this current campaign too.

Last time round, Casey scored 12 goals for the U18s and already has 11 in seven games this season, making his U21s debut last month too.

Along with a new contract, the attacker is also set to become a more regular feature for the Palace U21s in the coming months.

Oliver Glasner clearly making academy plans at Crystal Palace

As we’ve seen with the recent Romain Esse saga at Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner isn’t afraid to take action with underperforming players, and he’s also ready to reward those who impress in the U21s, with Esse returning to the bench against Bournemouth.

And during the international break, three Crystal Palace youngsters trained with the first-team. That, combined with Casey’s new contract, shows a newfound focus and emphasis on the youth academy and on promoting players into the first-team.

It certainly bodes well for Palace who have rapidly become a hot spot for emerging young talent to get game time, and to progress rapidly too.
