Crystal Palace No.10 Eberechi Eze has been speaking to the Premier League.
The England international sat down to engage in media duties from Copers Cope, where he took part in a more lighthearted segment following a stressful start to the 2024/25 campaign.

The £17m man was accompanied by Jean-Philippe Mateta in the interview, with both Crystal Palace stars taking part in The Friendship Test, where they were quizzed on various facts about each other.
During the feature, Eberechi Eze made an interesting comment about the Frenchman.

After the Premier League asked Eze and Mateta which of the two is funniest, the 26-year-old said: “You put you? Good, thank you. Yeah you as well. He could be the funniest person I’ve met, in life I think yeah, seriously.”
That was clearly an interesting claim, as the interviewer exclaimed “wow” after hearing the comment.
Eze was then pushed to share an example of Mateta’s hilarity, to which the attacking midfielder replied: “Not stories I can tell you here, no, but he is seriously a great addition.”
That was evident for all to see during the interview, as the 27-year-old regularly left his teammate in fits of laughter, especially when stating that he would have been an architect had professional football not worked out.

The Olympic Games silver medalist is clearly immensely popular at Selhurst Park – but he could soon depart if Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman fail to make progress in contract talks.
Mateta walked out of contract talks during the summer and an agreement is still yet to be reached, as the striker approaches the final 18 months of his contract.
The man born in Sevran would be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with another side from January 2026, so really, Crystal Palace only have around 12 months to either reach an agreement or cash in on the £50,000-a-week man, or else he could walk away for nothing.
Mateta did kick the corner flag after scoring against Tottenham on Sunday – however – a celebration he had allegedly put on hold due to disagreements in contract talks, hinting that a breakthrough could well be close.
