Crystal Palace have been handed a boost after several blows with one key player set to start against Spurs this weekend.

Oliver Glasner must have thought he was cursed this week with almost every story emerging about a player’s fitness being negative and detailing a setback for the player.

This bad luck could be reaching an end though for the Austrian manager at Selhurst Park with a massive boost being handed to him according to The Standard’s Dom Smith.

He further confirmed that Eberechi Eze is in line for his return as was reported earlier this week. But the other boost he handed the Eagles was the fact a £15m man is set to start for Crystal Palace.

Joachim Andersen set to start for Crystal Palace

According to Smith who was reporting on the Palace squad news, Glasner has received a boost in the form of Joachim Andersen being back in full training and likely to start.

He wrote: “Joachim Andersen also in full training after cramp and expected to start.”

This is a massive positive for Palace as his absence could’ve been catastrophic with the defence already reeling from the absence of Marc Guehi.

This likely means Palace will once more start the trio who’ve been irreplaceable over the past two games.

How will Palace line-up in defence vs Spurs?

With Andersen being fit and ready to start, he will likely be in the middle of Joel Ward and Chris Richards.

This trio denied Burnley a single shot on target and with such solidity it could be a good omen for facing Spurs.

If Palace can keep Spurs out, last week it was shown that the ball will be moved quickly into dangerous areas with players who can threaten capable of punish the opposition.

The return of Eze in this regard will be massive and could see a surprise sprung onto Spurs.
