Crystal Palace took on Fulham last Saturday, losing 2-0 in a defeat which saw the Eagles slip into the relegation zone.

This past weekend, Crystal Palace suffered a sixth defeat of the season against Fulham as academy youngster Justin Devenny made his debut.

The loss ended an encouraging three-game unbeaten streak and due to Ipswich beating Tottenham, the Eagles were sent crashing back into the relegation zone.

As was the case against Wolves, VAR played a part in the result for Crystal Palace, leaving the Eagles with a -7 goal differential.

Amid such disappointing results, now it has been reported exactly how Oliver Glasner is being viewed within the club’s hierarchy.

How Eagles chiefs view Oliver Glasner right now

This season has been a complete disaster to date, with the Eagles only managing to win one game in the Premier League – despite progression to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

So with just poor form, how is the club hierarchy feeling about Glasner?

According to an exclusive from Football Insider, it is reported that the Crystal Palace chiefs remain behind Glasner despite poor form.

Steve Parish and Co are expected to be ready to give Glasner more time to turn things around. Last season’s form is cited as the reason which gave the Austrian a lot of good grace.

Meanwhile, the report adds that the club have acknowledged that injury problems have hindered the performances this season and this is being taken into account.

Crystal Palace would be insane to change managers

The terrible start to this season will no doubt put pressure on Glasner, no matter what the reports are saying about his security.

However, right now, this pressure is very unlikely to lead to something permanent and in all honesty there should be no chance the Eagles consider sacking Glasner.

The Eagles manager has been very unfortunate this season – with his players’ finishing likely costing him at least six points to date.

Therefore, the club must trust things will improve and through better finishing, we would expect they will. Crystal Palace and Glasner have too much quality to be relegated and eventually should be able to get things back on track.
