Crystal Palace may have a problem on their hands as Yeremy Pino awaits a scan to determine the extent of his collarbone injury.

The Crystal Palace No.10 suffered the setback as Spain recorded a 1-0 win over Uruguay on Saturday morning, leaving both Pierre Sage and Luis de la Fuente facing an anxious wait for the outcome of his scan.

If Pino has indeed suffered a broken collarbone, the Eagles could be without the Spain international for a minimum of two months.

Yeremy Pino could miss eight weeks of action

According to the NHS website, most people recover from a broken collarbone in six to eight weeks.

This would be a huge setback for any Crystal Palace player, but for Pino, it has come at the worst possible time. Not only could the former Villarreal star now miss out on winning the World Cup with Spain, but two months on the sidelines would also sideline him for pre-season under Sage.

Pre-season is historically a significant period for players to prepare effectively for a new season, and after appearing to struggle with the intensity of English football for large periods of his debut campaign last term, this summer was a vital moment for Pino to continue his adaptation.

Now, the 23-year-old could find himself playing catch up.

The 2026/27 campaign is set to begin with a clash against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday 22nd August, so if Pino has broken his collarbone, he is highly likely to miss the start of the season.

There is a crumb of hope for Crystal Palace in the fact that Pino played on for Spain and was able to see the game out, so the injury might not be as bad as we fear.

Only time will tell for sure, so keep an eye out for the results of his scan.
