Marc Guehi had quite a bit to say following Crystal Palace’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
Crystal Palace were very poor against Bournemouth and the scoreline reflected that. After the game fan sentiment seemed to unanimously agree that Hodgson has to go after another bad display.
The players were booed off the pitch, which is something Marc Guehi has admitted he can’t blame fans for while speaking to Amazon Prime.
On boos at half-time and full-time, Guehi said, “Fans are entitled to their opinion, definitely not going to knock them for that but I think everyone knows it could’ve been a lot better.”
This wasn’t everything Guehi said though as he continued this interview.

Guehi didn’t just touch on the fans booing as he continued to reflect on a poor evening for Palace.
When asked how he rates the performance he said, “It’s a hard one, definitely have to look back at it but it didn’t feel great at the time I feel like we could’ve done better in every area to be honest.”
He was then asked why it’s not clicking at Selhurst Park in particular, to which he replied “I’ll be honest I wish I had answers, I know we’ve got a game very soon so it’s really important that we try and rectify this performance and make sure the next one’s a better one.”
Finally, on his miss-kick leading to the first goal, Guehi said: “Very frustrating, obviously you don’t wanna make too many mistakes, so I hold my hands up for that one, I think we could’ve defended the set piece a bit better but yeah we need to be better and make sure we put it right next game.”
Palace need points but they’ll be hard to come by
The mood around Selhurst right now is as low as it’s been in quite a while and some points are needed as soon as possible if Hodgson is to survive.
But it’ll be tough as they face Liverpool and Manchester City in the next two games.
After that it’s Brighton then Chelsea so it’s difficult to see where the points are going to come from for the remainder of this month.
