Joachim Andersen has now reacted to something crazy that he’s just heard about his Crystal Palace teammate, Adam Wharton.
Since arriving at Crystal Palace in a £22m move during the January transfer, Adam Wharton has gone from strength to strength.
The 20-year-old has been one of Oliver Glasner‘s standout performers and continues to be praised by pundits, such as being labelled a “classy” midfielder by Chris Sutton.
Alan Shearer also commented and explained that after Wharton’s performance, Liverpool players would be having nightmares.
Wharton’s emergence this season has been rapid and has seen him become one of the nation’s most talked-about prospects.
But prior to this season, he wasn’t rated by FIFA who only gave him a bronze card initially, now his teammates have been left stunned by that very fact.

In a social clip from the Palace X account, players were attempting to guess how Wharton’s FIFA card looked.
When asked what he thought the 20-year-old’s original card from the release looked like, Andersen was left stunned by the answer.
“Let me think,” Andersen said.
“Championship player, you come from the Championship. Is it a silver?”
To this, Wharton responded, “No, Bronze, 63.”
This left Andersen gobsmacked, as he responded, “What! No. Good upgrade, really? That’s crazy, man.”
To go from being rated so lowly by FIFA to now having an outside chance of heading to the Euros in one season is some feat, but also shows how poor FIFA is at rating players.
Wharton has surprised a lot of people at Crystal Palace
When he first arrived at Selhurst Park, expectations were that Wharton, while already a serious talent, would be one for the future.
We certainly didn’t expect him to adapt straight away to the Premier League, something he has done so seamlessly.
Wharton has played himself into Glasner’s plans and there’s no way he could be replaced now, even when the entire squad is fit.
So next season, it looks like it’ll be a Wharton midfield partnered by either Cheick Doucoure or Jefferson Lerma.
But the former Blackburn midfielder must be in the starting line-up.
