Crystal Palace captain Joel Ward has now shared his verdict on his new manager, Oliver Glasner who was confirmed on Monday.
Joel Ward was back in the starting line-up against Everton for Crystal Palace in Monday’s 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
His return however came in the form of a move to centre-half on the right side of a back three.
After the game, which Oliver Glasner will have been encouraged by, Ward was quizzed by the media on his thoughts about Glasner’s arrival at Selhurst Park.

As quoted by The Standard, the Palace skipper sounds thrilled by the arrival of Glasner.
“His reputation proceeds him, with his results and how he goes about things.
“He has got a very good record and I am sure we can hit the ground running.
“Having him at the helm now, he will want to kick on and start taking this club to where we know it can go. You always know when a new manager comes in you get that lift you get, that bounce, that rally.
“As a team, we know where we have got to go and how to get there and how we can execute it. We know the quality we have and it is about bringing that together and adding little bits. I am sure he will take the club where we know we should be.”
Glasner is a massive move for Crystal Palace
Managing to secure Glasner is possibly the biggest move Steve Parish and the rest of the Palace board could possibly have made.
He’s a European winner and is highly coveted with Spurs being keen last summer and Bayern Munich seeing him as a possible Thomas Tuchel replacement this year.
For him, deciding to join Palace is also a huge statement of intent after what he did at Frankfurt, he must see this as a step up.
Hopefully, he is right and this is the start of a golden period to be a Palace supporter
