John Textor was left furious by something Steve Parish did at Crystal Palace in November.

It was talkSPORT who shared the information.

So, what happened between John Textor and Steve Parish? Let’s take a look…

How Steve Parish angered John Textor

Well, both the American and the Englishman have been in the headlines this week, after a story from the Independent claimed that the Missouri-born businessman plans to sell his 45% stake in Crystal Palace.

Ed Aarons of the Guardian added that Textor has become frustrated by a lack of control and the direction Crystal Palace are heading under Parish.

Now – thanks to talkSPORT – some specific details have emerged.

Jim White claimed: “Sources say Textor was furious after Crystal Palace’s Chairman Steve Parish voted at a Premier League meeting to ban transfers between related clubs.

“Textor had apparently told colleagues that he was unaware the issue was even set to be discussed by the Premier League clubs, and he would have argued forcefully for Palace to vote against a ban.”

The vote took place in November – according to Sky Sports.

Crystal Palace are currently in collaboration with Lyon, Botafogo and RWD Molenbeek through Textor’s ownership of those three clubs, with transfers already taking place within that circle.

For example, Jake O’Brien spent a period on loan from Crystal Palace in Belgium with RWD Molenbeek, before securing a €1m (£857,000) move to Lyon back in August 2023.

Crystal Palace fans deserve a resolution

This situation sounds like a complete and utter mess – to say the least.

Fans were already growing frustrated at a lack of progress on the pitch amid a run of just two wins in 14 games under Roy Hodgson.

Now, there is something akin to a civil war embroiling within the boardroom, which is the last thing Crystal Palace need at the moment.

Hopefully, Parish and Textor can settle their differences soon – it is the very least Crystal Palace fans deserve amid a period of radio silence from the hierarchy.
