Glenn Murray has now been speaking about Roy Hodgson and Crystal Palace amid a difficult time for the Eagles.

Well, the man who scored 47 goals for Crystal Palace in 126 appearances believes the 76-year-old has looked “a little bit emotional” in recent weeks, suggesting the pressure is getting to him.
Hodgson’s role at Selhurst Park is under threat following a run of just two wins in 13 outings – with Steve Cooper among the favourites to take over.
However, Murray believes Crystal Palace will be just fine with the Croydon-born tactician at the helm.
The man from Maryport said: “Roy, he guarantees safety. He has been a little bit emotional over recent weeks at the end of interviews, and I think he’s been a little bit prickly. It’s easy to jump on a manager when the results aren’t coming, but when the performances are (good), the results will always come.”
In our view, performance levels have only been acceptable since the start of our 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Before that, Crystal Palace were woeful in the 3-2 defeat to Everton, the 2-1 loss to Luton and especially when Bournemouth won 2-0 at Selhurst Park.

There is also no way that anybody can say Hodgson “guarantees safety” following a run of just two wins in 13 games.
If you were to repeat that over the course of a 38-game season, it roughly equates to six wins and just 18 points.
Even with a few draws scattered in there, that is nowhere near enough to survive in the Premier League.
Therefore, the £86,538-a-week Hodgson still has work to do before Crystal Palace fans can relax with him holding the reins.
